No, I don't think that's right.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_BOC_Group

Pretty well referenced and there are no issues on the discussion page so it can probably be taken as accurate.

I could be wrong, but didn't a firm called B.R.T. lease the tankers to B.O.C?

Regards,62440.

Hey everyone, I seem to be digging up an old thread here but I know Barnetby quite well and often see alot of spotters in the area due to the high industrial usage of the line.

Who is B.R.T. anyways?

BOC was taken over by some German company (linde group?) a short while ago.

B.R.T. WAS short for British Railway Traffic and Traction.

They were VERY active in the 1960's-1980's, I have no idea what happened to them after that. Check out the old Triang and Triang-Hornby catalogs for tankers and grain hopper wagons with their logo on.

A search reveals that BRT was bought by Procor in 1974 although their logo remained on certain wagons for some time after that.
