Nice one Gray, looking good. Whether to use points or a traverser will probably depend on space available. If the works situation is cramped then a traverser would make a good model. (Will keep you out of mischief for the winter!).

Great looking buildings and OHC Gray, did you base the model on an actual location?

There is a traverser at Didcot. Thought I had some photos but can't find them. A lot of works had traversers like the one at Crewe which I do have photos of.
Would make an interesting project, definately worthy of a blow by blow account! Would be a worthy addition to you wonderful efforts so far. Happy New Year. John H-T.

Well
After a test build in card to work out the traverser wheel sets a next build using plasticard and the decking too resulted in this progress so far Next the decking needs a steel cover with the tracks showing only as tramway do and the cabin needs painting windows and some levers and controls and may be a potbelly stove too the traverser is liable to be powered by another set of wheels to be added in the centre when I work it out how to

Here is a photo of the traverser that was inside York Wagon works used for moving bogies between roads, bit small for anything else.
Do not know if it is still there now. http://yorkareagroup.co.uk/wp-conten..._traverser.jpg |

As you can see mine is a little bigger will hold a 57' coach so large enough for most wagons except one but this is designed for more normal wagons not this one
