Hello everyone

I have recently discovered Hornby OO Live Steam and am totally besotted!

Are there any other fans out there?

Anyone tried it and didn't get on with it?

Would you buy in if the range went beyond ecml?

Very keen to hear your experiences and impressions.

I look forward to lots of chat with you all.

Adrian

Welcome to the Forum 00livesteam. Might consider it if they produce any LMS models. Have had a go. Quite challenging!

Look forward to more info.

Best wishes,

John H-T.

Hello Adrian and welcome to the Railway Forum. When I looked at the cost of '00' Steam, I could not justify the extra expense.

That's the problem Syd. I can "chip" between 25% and 50% of my collection for DCC (depending on chip used) for the price of one Hornby live steam loco (not including the controller).

The other problem is that they need a dedicated circuit because of the different voltage.

Best wishes,

John H-T.
