Inquiry finds speeding train that threw passengers from seats 'almost' overturned

This has happened several times at Peterborough now, sounds like a badly designed signalling arrangement?

Linky here...Oops it's happened agaIn

Mind you, if we ever get ERTMS this should become impossible as the Train Protection System will warn the driver, and if they don't comply it will stop the train.

Nup, no cigar, not a good enough effort.
We had a couple of really good gone bush capers down-under due to excess speed.
An eight car Tangarbage emu empty set went bush near Concord in smog hollow.
The hogger missed a signal indication which was partially obstructed by the over head junk.
He was being turned out into the Up Refuge, and indeed turned out into Queen Street.
Got the entire train out there.
The UP Refuge was booked out of service shortly afterwards.
The Bananaland Tilt Train went bush when the hogger forgot about a 60 kph curve.
He hit it at almost double the speed.
She definitely tilted.
QR quickly placed a MAX speed limit of 100 kph on the train.
OK, everyone wants high speed trains, BUT, it is a tad ridiculous when they plonk these things on existing track with sharp curves.
Mind you, everyone has now forgotten the incident and QR have put the Tilt Train back up to the max of 160 kph, except for that curve and some others.
AH, who wants to go fast, the scenery becomes a blur.
I prefer the trad good ole days when riding QR trains behind soot belchers.
It was quicker to hoof to Chermside suburb and ride a tram into the city than ride a QR suburban train from my suburb to the city.
But, then you missed out on the soot and cinders and clickety clack.
