using PTFE for wire in tube

Hello all
I'm thinking of using the wit method and Gem/Fleetline
have a PTFE tube which is considerably cheaper than the copper.
Have spoke to Terry at Gem about fixing it with cable clips but
he said I would need to watch I do'nt squash it.
So I'm wondering as any members used this and how did you fix it.
This will be on top of layout and cutting a groove is'nt possible.
Thanks
John
