Job losses 'would damage UK rail' (BBC News)

Rail unions are urging the government to stop train companies from cutting jobs to save money in the downturn.

Im An Employee At Db And We Told Our Union To Lobby The Government With The News Of Our Job Cuts, As When The Country Comes Out Of The Recession And Work Picks Up There Will Be No Drivers Left To Haul The Freight As It Takes A Year To Train A New Driver From Scratch, And The Drivers There Getting Rid Off Know The Job Inside And Out And Been Through The Tough Times Before When It Was Transrail And Got Plenty Of Years Expierience
