I was up there about five years ago my surname is Dufton so i stayed in the village Dufton for a few days the landlady at The Stag Inn gave me a pint on the house because of my surname.
A lovely part of the country.

Looks like the new IB signal are being used to good effect judging by some of the timings over Ribblehead. 17/16 mins between some trains.

Just spent a mid morning to just after lunch at Kirby Stephen, with 4 frieght movements 3 southbound and 1 northbound. Hospitality at station great, can recommend the station master special.

A lot of the loaded coal sets, travelling south are at night.
