Hello

Hi Guys ,
First of all what a great site , lot of information.
I'm sure someone out there can help me!.
My Grandson (age 6) is mad on Thomas and friends what we would like to do is take him to see a real life "Gordon" (if there is one out there ) but we are unable to locate one, we have been to a couple of steam locations i.e. Nene Valley but would really like to take him to see his favourite Gordon.

Regards

LL

Hello and welcome to the forum from all the admin and staff, enjoy and all the best.

They have Thomas the Tank Engine weekends at The East Lancashire Railway and you will probably see Gordon there.

Hello lancs-lad and welcome to the Railway Forum. Good to see that there is another young lad and his Granddad interested in railways.

.
A warm welcome from me too Lancs Lad. Great to see the young generation being so interested in our hobby. Its them that’ll be running the show in the future hopefully.
Anyway the real Gordon 600 is on show at the Severn Valley Railway as Philip has pointed out with his link. It’s a good place for a visit as there is so much to see and do.
All the best
Phil

Just to make you aware before you travel, 'Gordon' is not part of the operating fleet at present and is on display in 'The Engine House', which is the SVR's museum at Highley station. But anyway, the Severn Valley is a great railway to visit and I'm sure your grandson (an the rest of you!) will have a great day.

Tony

Oh and one last thing re "Gordon" at Highley on the SVR. He is not wearing his face! Just in case your grandson is expecting that!
Enjoy all the same
Cheers
Phil
