Mayor John Banks: Auckland cannot rely on motorways and roads to meet its transport needs - it need the CBD rail loop as well.

Mayor Banks appears to know what Auckland's rail transport needs are but do you think he will get the backing of the government?

It's Steven Joyce we need to worry about, and he doesn't like rail much.
