As a rail enthusiast not a railway worker I suppose I will have a different view from some of the other members.
Personally I think I would get rid of the class 66 and I will say in preference for the class 56/58/60's they were never given the chance by the TOC's to prove themselves and things like the 58 was designed to allow easy upgrading not selling or scrapping I do like how they keep having to resurrect the class 60 every time they mothball them

A new yearly holiday
As an enthusiast not a worker on the railways, for lack of enthusiasm it would be the class 66, Ive never liked them for some reason and have always preffered the variety i used to see. Although still not seen a class 58 'bone' in the flesh . |

I don't think we've got enough locos left nowadays to be scrapping any more than is necessary, to be honest; I'm quite happy to see ANY locos. When it comes to scrapping anything, then I'd be quite happy to see Pacers disappear!
