Railroad Station Design ideas needed

Hello Everybody,
I am looking to remodel a preschool using a train station design/decor theme. I am looking to change mainly the facade of the building. I have been searching images and have not been very impressed. Can anyone give me some ideas on how a classic train station looks on the outside? I do not want anything related to Thomas the Train - more along the lines of upscale, and retro. I do not want the design to be too kitschy. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

First detail required for any design is SIZE. How big is the façade to be remodelled?
Next requirement; what Country of Origin do you want?
How ornate do you want it? Classical columns, brick facade, etc?

HI Phil,
Thank you for your reply. I am guessing America, but whatever region can give a simple, yet distinctive look, even retro??? What would work well at a preschool?

Currently the school has a cute wooden steam engine out front and the colors are black and red.
