Lucky escape for WSR worker
A member of WSR staff had a lucky escape after getting caught between the engine and tender as SR 'Battle of Britain' pacific No.34053 'Sir Keith Park' was being unloaded at Bishops Lydeard.
http://www.westerndailypress.co.uk/R...ail/story.html Injuries are apparently 'not life-threatening', so I think he's been very lucky. I wish him a speedy recovery. Tony |

This hasn't been disclosed yet, but comments on another website have suggested that he was attempting or preparing to couple the loco to it's tender - I'm not sure if there's any truth in this.
I'm sure there will be an investigation & subsequent report published by the RAIB. Tony |

I'm glad to hear he wasn't seriously injured. Hopefully he'll make a full recovery. RAIB will reveal all, eventually. BW |

Someone Upstairs was looking out for him, that's for sure! A lucky man.
Wishing him a speedy recovery.
