Lötschberg base tunnel officially opens

The Lötschberg base tunnel in Switzerland was officially opened yesterday.
See: http://www.swissinfo.org/eng/top_news/detail/Loetschberg_base_tunnel_officially_opens.html?site Sect=106&sid=7928557&cKey=1181903762000

Although it's good news for the overall Swiss transport plan it's bad news for the many rail enthusiasts who enjoyed watching the heavy freights toiling over the old mountain route, myself included. Still, that's progress.
