Newton heath question.

I qauite often go past this shed and always just have a look to see whats there from the train window.
Arriva class 57s are really the best locos kept here, but there seems to be an 08 or 09 sitting in the yard. It never seems to move and I was wondering who owns it.

The other thing is a converted MK1 brake coach that sits in a siding, and looks to be in very very faded purple livery, but I may be mistaken.
Is this still used?

Thanks chaps.

Hello SFE, the wnxx database lists two privately owned 08's at Newton Heath. 08 388 in "Petroleum" livery, and 08 594 in "BR Blue".
I can't help out with the coach I'm afraid, but someone on here should know.

Regards, 62440.

SFE: I just put Newton Heath into Google earth and it shows a street or road of that name in Middlewich! (Plus the obvious place)

Regards, 62440.
