Does anyone know the number of that 45 diesel (I think it was a 45) that was deliberately smashed into a flask on the test track in Leicestershire ?

46 009.

Class 46 rather than 45 I'd assume from the TOPS number.

it was scrapped at Old Dalby a couple weeks later. I say scrapped, it kinda scrapped itself really, it's a crazy video!

Remember that taking place, bit spectacular. The coaches appear to have remained fairly intact. Glad you found your answer.

They've got one of the buffers of it preserved at the NRM. It's in the warehouse bit.
