GNER Promotion

On my journey last Saturday I came across two of the latest ideas of promotion by GNER. The 10% discount online HST (was being used on an Aberdeen service, would have been seen by many along the UK ) , and I saw a new one, a 91 showing "off to the races".

What do others think of this approach and have GNER done any others to look out for?

Does the public really look at the sides of Power cars these days?
Apart from us, that is?

So, is this a Racecource special train then??

I agree with Shedcat, my grandma had a works Christmas dinner on the ELR dining train and didn't even notice the colour of the engine! I think that GNER should go fo big advertisements running along the train, like buses have.

GNER have done this to inspire people to go and visit some of the big racing events that are happening along the ECML (and use GNER to get there ), such as May festival in York.

I found a link about this on GNERs website.
