Class 59s

Hello, I'm planning to visit the area around Merehead quarry on 22 June and wondered if anyone could provide information on accessibility/viewing the TMD or simply finding a location to photograph Class 59 locos,

Thanks ,

Angus

Hello Angus and welcome to the forum from all the staff and I am sure one of our members from that area will help you.

Westbury is probably a better place to see them. The depot building at Merehead is surrounded by trees and the nearest road is the A361.

Many thanks for that information - will try this location when I'm down,
