From Euston to Birmingham by Voyager ?

Coming back from Coventry to Birmingham yesterday (see Class 90 thread), was surprised to find that the train was a Virgin Voyager. Is this a normal working or a one-off ? Train was 1802 ex Coventry, which makes it something like 1700 off Euston.

Sounds like it VT had a voyager spare so they put it on in place of the 90, or the 90 had broken down or something like that. Virgin used to do this (or at least once) with the XC class 90 Brum to Manchester service, put on a Pendolino instead at one point.

No. The 90 was runnning. The Voyager was the train I caught back from Coventry to Birmingham...

No. This was a Euston - BIRMINGHAM service, that would (I presume) normally be a Pendolino.
