What was the 47?

Hi All
Can anyone assist in the Hampshire area, with a loco identification please?? It was on Monday Jan 4th 2010. I'd seen 67006 and 67027 go down, and then back up towards Winchester, with passengers onboard, with the VSOE Pullman stock.. Followed not long afterwards by a Class 47! In the classic early BR Corporate blue livery? hauling 4 coaches, either late Mk 2's or early Mk3's!
Would like to know what the loco was if anyone can help. I only caught the back end of it from my Kitchen window!
Thanks
IAN
