Some good stuff in there potentially. Good to see they're working with Lancashire/Gtr Manchester areas as well.

Reopening the Burscough curves (the south one in particular) is a no brainer. Direct trains from Southport to Ormskirk and as for Southport-Preston...

Some good ideas, some silly ones, and a lot that could prove to be unaffordable.

The last thing people want is fewer seats as a consequence of more standing room. Do they really think they will attract more passengers to rail by expecting them to stand most of the way from Liverpool to Chester or Southport. ?

Agreed. I read an article recently that new trains were being built with extra standing room, I thought the price of tickets these days should be guaranteed a seat.
