I knew there was something I was meant to post before starting my time off work! I've been doing quite a lot of TTiing for this event, and my feet are killing me after 5 days of walking up and down trains! Now, the ticketing issue brought up by deathbyteacup. On most days a full line return (£11.40 adult, £7.60 concession) be valid for unlimited travel all day. However, if a day is classed as being a SPECIAL event, as opposed to just an event, there will be Day Rover tickets issued (£22 adult, £14.50 concession). If in doubt just ask the booking clerk or TTI for an all day ticket, he or she will know which one to issue. Failing that, feel free to send me a private message on here, and I will do my best toi sort it out for you.

Hey Pavorossi,

I was at the ELR today with my brother, the tickets cost £17.50 (Paid by Visa, no idea the ELR took chip & pin, saved me going out in the rain to find a cash machine ) for two returns to Rawtenstall.

We had a good day and I'm about to put a few pictures up but thanks for that info, it's cleared up for me the difference between adult return / day rover I think!

PS. I'm not sure but was that you today who suggested we "Could stay on board if we wanted to sit in the sidings for two hours?"
My brother nearly wanted to take you up on the offer considering the rain.

Glad you and your brother had a good day on the ELR Danny, it is a great place to visit, just a pity about the rain today. All the best.

Finally got all my pictures from the gala now posted.

Happier with the new camera body now after a little more use, but my d50 had some options i wish they had carried through onto the D8o ie add incamera sharpening to the picture. Some pictures just seem flat in comparsion. Could just be the extra mega pixels causing that.
