Well said John. The constant complaints about this sort of thing almost always seem to come from members of the public whose sole idea of hardship is defective air conditioning in the office.

People hate engineering work because they are sheep (well if they insult the hardworking staff I will insult back!!! :lol: ). Everyone follows everyone else or follows a well trodden path and as soon as it is disrupted they are lost. take a look at the door which is suddenly out of order or an escalator that is in the opposite direction for once.

As for the Idea of management 'arranging' for the works to overrun, who do you think pays out for bus replacements (depending on contracts) and compensation for the delays and inconvenience! Besides which every company involved is financially better off if engineering works are on time because more people will travel, so please stop talking drivel.
