About par for the course for one of the worst franchise holders around ...
I'll volunteer to work for them on Sundays if they like ...

Apparently Liverpool-Birmingham services are still running but the rest are not. LM are advising passengers their tickets will be valid on VT services, and are operating a coach service to Wellingborough for EMT trains.
They should at least have a VT stopping at the trent valley stations to avoid overcrowded buses, at least have something running along the deserted 'slow line' to London, then again possible cheaper to bus people. "The union said station, clerical, retail, booking office and supervisory staff did not receive the same pay for Sundays as drivers." Yes well maybe it's because the drivers have quite a significantly important aspect of the process of train movement, as well as safety, but hey, in this world I'd have though most people would be glad to get anything they could. To be honest it's all the Governments fault for being so pathetic and useless, the whole system is corrupt and giving us a network which seems to be more expensive to use every time you use it, yet the services are not getting any better. |
