Hi every one
Iam a new Sudanese member interrested in this great forum. I was born in Atbara-Sudan which is called "The City Of Iron And Fire" , because it is the biggest railway city in Sudan and maybe in Africa. I found another city called Atbara in Rajasthan-India, and Iam preparing a research to determine which Atbara was established first : the Indian or the Sudanese? Any one who have some information about this , I will be merciful if he send me. Thank you all and sorry if I spoke too much. Saif Eldin M. Othan |

The GWR had a class of loco called the "Atbara" class.
http://www.greatwestern.org.uk/m_in_440_atbara.htm Some of the "City" class (but not City of Truro) were re-built from Atbara parts. |
