Considering eho the survey was done for, I'm surprised that 30% had the temerity to disagreee with the official party line !

I agree about taking it with a pinch of salt but just talking to (non railway)people, I do get the clear impression that amongst the general public this is just about the most unpopular privatisation of them all.

Whether, it would ever be reversed, I very much doubt as whatever the public may think, I'm not aware that any of the main poilitical parties are in favour and, on top of everything else, it would just be too expensive (unfortunately).
