Hello
Hi everybody,
I just wanted to say hello and also that I am glad to find a place filled with fellow train enthusiasts. My main love is travelling by train, the more intrepid the trip the better - have done the Trans-Siberian and the Mauritania Iron Ore train for example. Am really looking forward to getting to know everyone and reading the forums. Thanks, LP72 |

Thanks for your reply Chris and am just making my way around the forum.
I have uploaded a couple pics of my trip to Mauritania, it has been the most 'interesting' journey I have made by train so far and I am toying with the idea of building a small model railway of it complete with a replica of Ben Amera (the Ayers Rock of Africa) .... need to buy a bigger flat first ![]() Will dig out a few more pics of other journey and upload them. |

G'day LAP72,
A tad more scrub surrounding our Ben Amera, aka Uluru. It would be interesting to compare sunset images of Ben Amera with our Uluru. Vivid colours do occur. Long way to the railway line though. So, not really an addition to a model railway of that region of Oz. Steve. |
