I have just become a member. Previosly both my father and I worked on the railways. Currently I drive for the Wells and Walsingham Railway and I also own an n gauge,a oo gauge and G scale Garden Railway.
I have a problem regarding my father, who sadly has passed away, in that I have in my possession two Ordinary Share Certificates dated 1st September 1931 and 9th December 1938. Please could anyone tell me if these shares are worth anything and if they are, where can I redeem them. Thank you Dave Ellis |

I think they are probably worth more as preserved relics than for their face value. I dont think they will have gained anything since nationalisation.
I remember my Dad redeemed his LMS shares back in 1948 and he was wasn't very pleased with what he got. |
