Hello Formum Members
Hello,
Great to join your group after being a visitor for a while. I was born in Birmingham, and now live in Utah, USA - not that far from the UPRR line from Los Angeles to Ogden. My earliest memories of trains and railways is going to Acock's Green Station, Birmingham (GWR) on Sundays to see the occasional trains during WW2. I lived in Guildford, Surrey from 1967 to 1970 and saw the end of main line steam on the SW line in 1967. My great Uncle, Frank Wilson, was a civil engineer for the GWR and WR based in Wolverhapmton Richard Davies Utah, USA

Welcome to the Forum Richard. I lived in Birmingham during the 50's and 60's and have fond memories of Birmingham New Street and Snow Hill Station at that time.
