Liverpool-Wigan Line D1st Gen DMUs
For sometime now I have been trying to find out what class of 1st Generation DMUs worked this line as I was only a very small boy when I lived along this line but seem to remember them being similar to the Class 108 and Class 117 at the EVR but just don’t seem to be able to find out anything form going through them on Wikipedia.

From memory Liverpool - Wigan would have been class 108s, certainly not class 117 as they were all on the Western Region.

Hi John,
I have seen photos of Class 108 units working on the Liverpool-Wigan line. Class 108's built after 1960 have roof-mounted headcode boxes.
