Paddington to Fishguard

Some queries regarding this route.
Mid 60s to mid 70s what classes would have been pulling the Paddington- Fishguard train (for the Fishguard-Rosslare ferry).

And was it in fact a straight run? I did it many times as a kid in the 60s and early 70s -both directions - but I have no recollection of changing trains.

Through services definitely ran between Paddington and Fishguard during this period but I couldn't say how many there were. The route taken would have been Paddington - Cardiff - Swansea - Carmarthen - Fishguard although I would think that most through trains probably used the avoiding lines to eliminate the need to reverse in Swansea and Carmarthen stations.
I have seen photos of Brush Type 4 (class 47) and "Western" (Class 52) locos hauling trains on this route but it's also possible that there were others.

I am new to the forum. I am urgently trying to find out the times of trains from Fishguard to Paddington in the mid 60s. Might the timetables still exist? perhaps one of you has one.

The particular train I am interested in ran on an Easter Monday in April 1964 so would have had a Sunday-type timetable, I am presuming.

It was the train that my Mum and Dad met on, and I am making a neon art work for their 45th wedding anniversary. I would like it to say the time and destination of the train!

Hello. I'm new today. I live in Llanelli and the Paddington-Fishgaurd Boat Train as it was called was usually pulled by a Western class 52, but, class 47's were also used.
