With all due respect, re-read the report and spot the differences. On the main BBC News tonight, it was said Everybody was off the train safely and walking along the track, while it has since been reported, 2 were Airlifted to hospital, while a third went by road. What is to be believed?

Well in the report I read, it says Glasgow to Oban !
Anyway whichever, it was a bad incident...luckily not as serious as it could have been "Eh" ? 48111 |

I was watching the news earlier and a witness had said that there was " discomorft at first, then it got a bit bumpy, then it got very bumpy. Then there was a crash and a fireball. After a few seconds it died down and there was a lot of screaming, then things calmed down" now when I was watching it there was subtitles on so it may not be exact wording but I have noticed a few things.
This service usually uses a scotrail 156. The evidence given suggests that the train may have ridden over some misaligned rails and then jumped the track. At first riding along on the sleepers, but then possibly crashing at a curve or just lead by the bogies. Now this line is very curvy and trains do not exceed 40mph at any point and impact if there was any would have been slowed by the sleeper riding. now this fire ball. How could this have happened at such a slow speed? How come no one was killed by this? The only expalnation I can think of is the fuel tank was ruptured, but was running low at the time, reducing the severity of the damage. Still this account seems a bit odd and I can't believe it. The circumstances for this account seem just too out of the ordinary. Just a thought but could this have been set up by a pressure group to reverse spending cuts on the railways?
