New Bridge

A new bridge is being considered between Ireland and Scotland

Sounds a great idea, linked with High Speed 2 and Cross Link could be a great rail system. Perhaps also reinstate the link south to Carlise!

Oh dear.

A 22 mile road bridge is OK, but not a train-carrying bridge
A 22 mile rail tunnel is OK, but not a road tunnel.

But the idea of link is a great idea.
