Hello all.
Found this forum looking for a link to Ian Krause's 'Slow train to Riccarton'. Looks a friendly place so I will give it a good look. Recently taken up an interest in photographing railways after a lengthy break.

Hi Bill.
Welcome. Gnu was my first Eastern engine. It came through Hindley, Near Wigan, when I was a young spotter. It was so exotic, I nearly fell off the fence. mickey

Hi Bill and a very warm welcome from me too. What a corker of a site you have there! some brilliant footage back in the 60's. I love the Lowrey shot (I like his paintings).
Do you know if there are any of the bridges and gantries left up there with the signal boxes built on them? I would be interested. Anyway hope you enjoy the forum and the good company on here All the best Phil |
