Hi Mate

Hello Dave in Poole. Had some wonderful holidays in Poole as a kid. As a northerner I found it was a different world down there with the southern regions "Battle of Britain Class" steam locos. I loved them.
I was also hauled by 92220 "Evening Star" from Poole to Rotherham where I lived, that was a great experience. I think I stood all the way home with my head through the carriage door window as 12 year old enthusiasts did in those days.
I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do, great friendly people on here.
Stan

Thanks for the welcome guys.
Stanboy29, Evening Star is an old friend, I had a go the regulator when it was at the GWS Didcot. I remember a GWS railtour behind it, I timed it at 86mph down Hatton Bank with red hot coals flying out the chimney!!
