Station masters of Longton, Staffordshire
Hello
I've just joined the forum in the hope someone can tell me where I might find details of the names of the station masters of Longton, Staffordshire. It is thought my grandfather, Albert Smith, was once station master there. I have yet to verify that. He was born in Nottingham in 1877 and was certainly in Manchester by 1950. I'm afraid it's a very big time span but if he retired at 65 then we are looking at sometime before 1942. Thanks for any good ideas! Geoff Crighton |
