In pictures: Your worst railway stations (BBC News)

What makes a terrible railway station? After the Department for Transport promised £50m to carry out urgent improvements on the 10 worst stations in England, the Magazine asked for photos of your nominated stations.

Wakefield truly looks dreadful. Its as if they have forgotten it exists

Its Wikipedia page though does have this interesting snippet "In July 2009, Kirkgate station was visited by Secretary of State for Transport minister Lord Adonis who dubbed the station 'the worst medium-large station in Britain" so maybe they are planning something for it. No doubt the locals will be writing to him to ask why it wasn't included in the list.

I think saying greenbank is a bad station is going too far.

This is what it used to be like before the mid cheshire reail users group stepped in.
Now it has won best kept station award.
