Hi folks ,I am a new member, I am a 60 year old rail fanatic from Rotherham, only found out about the site today , hoping to spend a lot of time enjoying the site now I'm retired.

See you only found out about the site today like I did. Was it via the excellent new edition of Railways Illustrated (No although I am a freelance journalist I dont work for them but all credit where credit is due)

Hi n4cus. Glad you found the forum. We 60+ year (young!!) member have all found this forum to be a good site with very little in the way of problems. I also have found that the younger members are in tune with us and want to learn as much as they can about the railways past. I'm sure you will enjoy the site.
