Eastleigh derailment, Network Rail criticised.
A train derailment happened after Network Rail failed to effectively detect track faults, accident investigators have found.
Six wagons came off the track at Eastleigh, Hampshire, in January 2020, blocking the line and damaging equipment. The Rail Accident Investigation Branch (RAIB) said Network Rail needed a strategy to prevent a repeat. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan...shire-56278515

Poor old NR. They're well over £50bn in debt.
You could understand if their infrastructure maintenance had fallen behind (not that I'm saying for a moment that this is the case). Last edited by Beeyar Wunby; 4th March 2021 at 20:57. Reason: don't want to drop the website in it..... |
