Approval has been granted for a huge international freight terminal on green belt land in Hertfordshire after eight years of protest.

Gosh I never thought that would happen - this plan has been burbling away for years. In some ways it makes sense to locate a terminal on the Midland Mainline

Also I love the way that objectors all moan about it being on Green-Belt land, when in fact the proposed site was the old Radlett aerodrome, and 6 lanes of M25 sprawl run adjacent to it - so it's hardly virgin fields !

You should all realise by now that if there is grass on it, it is green belt land as far as the NIMBYs are concerned.
