Greetings from London.

Hi everyone,
I am a Kiwi who lives in London and have done for the past 9 years. Living in England and liking trains is great because there are so many! I'm lucky enough to live next to the Great Western Railway 7 minutes from paddington and regualry get to hear and see steam trains going past my window!

That's one of the reasons I have joined here because for the life of me I can not seem to find any information about when the steam trains are going to go past! For example a steam train reversed past my window today, obviously heading to Paddington but I can't find any info about it anywhere.

So I decided to seek out a train forum to speak to the experts.

I look forward to becoming an ective member of this forum and finding out a bit more about trains.

Jonny.

Hello Jonny and welcome to the Railway Forum. I wish I lived in a house overlooking the railway.

Hi Jonny. Welcome to the forum. Lucky you to be that close to all that main line steam! As Chris says, the best site to visit is www.uksteam.info as this lists all the mainline steam tours & light engine moves, as well as links to the tour operators. Detailed times for the tours sometimes only appear a day or two before the train runs so keep checking.
