Delay fears over new rail station (BBC News)

The managing director of East Midlands Trains says the opening of a £25m flagship new rail station could be delayed.

I believe there is a "NIMBY" problem here. A local resident has problems with the access road, I understand!

Once complete will be interesting to see the demand at the station, from the looks of things this isnt looking at EM Airport passengers (to which Long Eaton, Loughborough and Leicester provide a good shuttle service), but taking drviers off the M1. Get a good view of Radcliffe cooling towers whilst you wait for the train.
