ECML 1970s-80s

Aside from:

Classes 08, 25, 31, 40, 44-46, 55

What would have been frequent visitors or based around the King's Cross / Finsbury Park areas during the late 70s and 80s?

20s? 37s? 17s? ?????????

Is this any use?

I have some snaps of Straford TMD from 1987-89, on shed were 20,33,37,47, and an undated shot (but as in same album as straford so I presuming similar date) of KX with hst's , 45106 Light engine and an unidentified nose ended loco and stock, sorry if no help.
Regards

when i first vsited KX in about 1969/70 you could have seen type 15's and 23 mostly on pilot and ECS although the 23's used to work the Hartford loop stoppers it hink...Also class 30's would still have ben around before re-engining to class 31.... 40's I rarely saw there but 46's would have been around....24/25/26/27 wouldnt have been around at that time.....

45's were mostly to be seen at St Pancras and 37 at Liverpool St at that time...Class 15's were station pilots here and the class 16's had just been withdrawn and were stored at Stratford.

Of course we only had eyes for the Deltics at the Cross...our main reason to visit as they were NEARLY as good as Westerns....
