It looks like an American Consolidation 2-8-0 from early last century. They were widely used on freight and heavy passenger trains. The majority of Consolidations were built by Baldwins.

Ok cool! The back of picture it says 1906. So it possibly is a freight engine. Hence why i cant find in passenger. I was hoping it was pennsylvania rail road. Is that a possibility?

Hi Spyder,
type "Baldwin Consoldation Locomotives" into Google and you will find all the information you could require. There is one page which lists all the railroads that they worked on. Over 27,000 were built! (There wern't that many Dakotas). |
