I have just been looking at a video of Severn Valley Railway at Apsley. Seen are two giants of steam days LMS & LNER both stopped in the staton at the same time. Duchess 6233 heads south with Mark1 stock whilst A4 60009 Union of S Africa appropiately pulls Gresley carriages both on local stopping trains. Have a loco of each class been so close before and even less likely have these two locos ever been in the same place at the same time? If they have been together in must have been in heritage days. Something to ponder!

Good question.
In steam days Coronation class locos and A4's regularly visited Perth so I suppose it's possible that the two locos met there.

Of course I forgot about Perth which I visited in 1957 but no idea what I saw. It would have been possible especially with the A4 allocated to Haymarket
