LNER dining car 1930s.

LNER dining car 1930s.
In the 1930s, passengers on the ‘Flying Scotsman’ had over seven hours to enjoy the succession of meals and snacks on offer in the restaurant cars. Fine dining was the hallmark of the service. This table in a London & North Eastern Railway dining car has been laid with Moet & Chandon champagne, bread rolls, curled butter and a vase of spring flowers.
