You could always travel on the 12.48am DMU [ahhhhhh] and return at 16.05pm and save yourself £18.10p!!!. But it won't be the same crossing Glenfinnon Viaduct in a DMU.
Hope your luck is in, it is well worth the journey.
Thanks DOGFAN, I will get to the station early and wait to see if I can get on. Otherwise the DMU it is and just photograph the loco's.
If I miss out I will just have to try again next year only book well in advance!!
