Hi Wyvern, Yes these machines do get rid of wet beds as they re-new the formation at the same time as re-newing the track once renewed the track requires tamping an once the track is handed back to the maintainer now Network Rail it is programed for maintainance tamping periodicaly to keep the top an line in good condition an fit for trains to run on at what ever the designated line speed is for the line.
