Hello Hornet and welcome to the Railway Forum. I was a fireman on the Rhodesian Railways over 50 years ago. We did have some Diesel loco's on the R. Railway's and I did work on them for about 7 months before I packed it all in and immigrated to the U.K. in 1969. Most of my time was working Garratt's up to and crossing the Victoria Falls.
