Smile 1918 Train schedule from Montreal to New York
I am in the process of writing a piece on a Canadian soldier who goes AWL and takes the train from Montreal to New York City. Would anyone have information on what company ran trains on that route, schedules, types of train, locomotive, availability of food on the train, sleepers, etc.
also if someone knows about train security at that point in time, I would be really interested.
