What a sad state of affairs. The Manx Railway and the Electric Tramway should be a jewel in the crown of the island, not a bargaining chip used by a public servant for unknown ends. Any normal transport manager would welcome assistance from enthusiastic, knowledgable "outsiders" if it helped their "bottom line".
